With funds from the U.S. Department of Education, we’re relaunching our Empowering Families program with the Providence Public School Department.
We’re gearing up now to resume our popular Empowering Families program in Providence’s elementary schools. Through this program, we bring the 16-hour, highly acclaimed Mind in the Making workshop to families, teachers and other staff who work with young children (Pre-K to Grade 3). MITM covers the seven essential skills children need to succeed in school and in life. Often called executive function skills, these are the skills that manage our emotions, intellect and behavior.
To deliver this program, Ready to Learn Providence is currently hiring additional staff. To see these opportunities, please go here.
We are grateful to all of the organizations that are making this important partnership with the Providence Public School Department possible: the US Department of Education, Investing in Innovation Fund; The Rhode Island Foundation; United Way of Rhode Island; the Anne E. Casey Foundation; The Campaign for Grade Level Reading; The A.M. Fund; The Bezos Family Foundation; the Kellogg Foundation; and the Institute for Educational Leadership.
