As you look through this website, we hope it becomes clear that Ready to Learn Providence is far more encompassing than the vast array of programs it offers parents, educators and others. R2LP sees itself as part of an ever-growing community dedicated to seeing that all children in Providence will enter school healthy and ready to learn.
Working with its many partners in the city and state, R2LP will achieve its vision by:
- Creating Social Networks among early-care and public-school educators, city librarians, health-care professionals, family child-care providers, and, above all, parents.
- Investing in Early Education by working with family child-care providers, child-care centers and the public school department to improve the quality of educational experiences for preschoolers throughout the city.
- Conducting Research and Raising Awareness about the needs of children, families and early-care educators in Providence, and about the opportunities and challenges facing R2LP and its many partners in responding to these needs.
